New works that are one act plays will be rehearsed and performed in 24 hours from the time of casting. Come and see some great new work and vote for your favorite play!

All tickets are $5 to get in the door
$1 per vote for your favorite play - VOTE AS MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT!!
Playwrights will receive 25% of all the votes they receive towards their play for best play.
The winning play that receives the MOST votes will receive 25% of the entire vote money pot to be split between the actors, director, and playwright of the winning play.
Vote for your favorite play tickets are available in advance and at the theatre the night of the show

Greg and Kate have moved to Manhattan after twenty-two years of child-raising in the suburbs. Greg’s career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate’s career, as a public-school English teacher, is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog he found in the park—or that has found him—bearing only the name “Sylvia” on her name tag. A street-smart mixture of Lab and poodle, Sylvia becomes a major bone of contention between husband and wife. She offers Greg an escape from the frustrations of his job and the unknowns of middle age. To Kate, Sylvia becomes a rival for affection. And Sylvia thinks Kate just doesn’t understand the relationship between man and dog. A series of hilarious and touching complications ensue as the couple navigates this time in their marriage.

We at The Troupe Theatre believe that classes are important but nothing can replace the importance of applying those skills in a performance based environment.
