Meet The Troupe Theatre Team

Caelin Whitley is a North-Texas based Native American actress and singer. Though she began her career in theatre and music, over the past 5 years Caelin has broadened her work to include dancing, directing, voiceover acting, narrating audiobooks, and working in the technical side of theatre. She is a former Casa Mañana Triple Threat student, has worked as an actress in both film and live theatre, as a director, as a SFX makeup artist, and has also served in roles as a technician, stage manager, playwright, and assistant director. Caelin has music directed our productions of Mean Girls, Jr. and Footloose Youth Edition and appeared as Amber in Hairspray. Kristi Denoy is a director, acting coach, teaching artist, and certified theatre teacher in the DFW area. She holds a B.A. in Theatre from Stephen F. Austin State University. Kristi has taught 3rd-12th grade theatre, written district theatre curriculum, served on the K-12 Committee for the Texas Educational Theatre Association, and has worked with Junior Thespians as well. She's also worked with Casa Mañana and the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards for high school theatre as well as Mainstage Classic Theatre and The Troupe Theatre as a teaching artist. Kristi has trained under Tony Award winner Betty Buckley, Emmy-Award Nominee Brad Maule, and Drama Desk Award Nominee Jack Heifner. Kristi has worked professionally in theatre, dance, and opera as a costume designer and she has a heart for improv. She is excited to be the Artistic Director of The Troupe Theatre to help make theatre accessible to all. You may have spotted her as the Bum on the Bar Room Stool in Hairspray or from our front of house, taking tickets.

Jen’s love for theatre began in childhood, where she developed a deep passion for the performing arts through attending countless plays and musicals. This enthusiasm has carried her throughout the years and into her current role. That and her vision for all things technical. Alongside her passion for the arts, Jennifer has also been dedicated to education and athletics. For 15 years, she has inspired students as a Chemistry teacher, holding a B.S. in Biochemistry. She also spent 9 years as a soccer and track coach, showcasing her commitment to teamwork and leadership both on the field and in the classroom. Jennifer’s background in science, her love for the arts, and her coaching experience make her a dynamic and valued member of our team, fostering connections between the theatre, sports, and the community. Most recently at The Troupe, Jen's assistant directed and stage managed The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon and Hairspray.

Kaitlin is a theatre educator in Mansfield ISD with a degree in theatre performance. She's been on several Metroplex stages as an actress and is no stranger to directing, either. Kaitlin's vision for our educational outreach is far-reaching and we are so excited to have her on board! Kaitlin has been seen on the Farr Best stage in our production of The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon and directed last season's kid's camp production of Annie KIDS.

Stephanie serves as The Troupe Theatre Secretary. For the past 17 years Stephanie has served on non-profit boards in many capacities, through public school districts. Her youngest is involved in theatre, which is where she met the amazing women who founded The Troupe Theatre and came to know those currently serving on the board. Stephanie feels she is privileged to be involved with creating the best possible theatre company. Stephanie has also stage managed for The Troupe; most recently, in Hairspray.

Catrina serves as the treasurer for The Troupe Theatre. A Thespian as a child, she's excited to dive back into the theatre world with our shows. Over the past 15 years, Catrina has served on numerous non-profit boards in diverse disciplines and varying roles. Catrina has been with The Troupe Theatre since the very beginning. And if you think she looks familiar, she's been known to grace our Christmas shows with her presence onstage! You may have seen her in A Christmas Chaos or The Holiday Channel Christmas Movie Wonderthon.
