The Troupe Theatre believes that theatre is for everyone and, as such, every person deserves to be treated with kindness, respect, and equity. All are welcome to audition for our productions. No roles have been pre-cast and all roles are open for our Mainstage shows: A Christmas Chaos, our 24-Hour Play Festival, and our summer musical (TBA).
All auditions for this season are video submissions with in-person callbacks.
Audition Tips
Prepare for the day: prepare your audition, of course, but familiarize yourself with the story we're telling. We want to see your version of the story! Read our audition notices and be sure you're bringing what's asked (time limits, monologue genres, songs, etc.). For callbacks, be sure you've got everything you need (including music, dance shoes, etc.).
Know your schedule: Rehearsal schedules are posted alongside audition notices. Please compare it to your schedule ahead of time so our casting panel is aware of conflicts and can accommodate for them.
Everything is an audition: kindness to others, professionalism, and work ethic are on display at all times, even if you're sitting in the audience.
Please know that release from an audition or callback early is not an indication that you are not being cast. Casting is an artform in itself. While you're with us for auditions or callbacks, we want you to have fun and make some choices. See you onstage!
For our 5th anniversary of creating theatre with the Mansfield community, we have built this season around a few of our favorites! This season is about identity, those of the character as well as reminding us here at Troupe of how we began. For example, we will be returning to the very first show Troupe ever performed - "A Christmas Chaos" in December!
We are seeking actors of all ages this season, but please pay attention to each show's age range.
Audition information will posted below. Specific sides and character breakdowns will be posted one month prior to the video submission window opening. If you have any questions, please contact us.

We are currently accepting submissons for "A Christmas Chaos," our 2026 Christmas show!
Synopsis: When the Royal Shakespeare Company gets stranded across the country, it's up to a rag-tag group of local actors to throw together their own version of Dickens's A Christmas Carol... in less than 6 hours! We meet the pretentious narrator, the “professional” actor playing Scrooge, and a myriad of other “theatrical types” that theatre companies and audiences will recognize and adore immediately. It quickly becomes apparent that this group is far from ready to put on a show, let alone A Christmas Carol. There are two child actors vying for the role of Tiny Tim; there's an extremely flighty and confused crew member who believes she is in the cast; two cast members are very unhappy with each other; one actor who plays both Bob and Mrs. Cratchit at the same time; and others who are struggling to make the best of a terribly funny situation. Everything that can go wrong does, but the show ends with the actors pleased, the crew proud, and the audience wonderfully entertained!
Please submit a one minute comedic monologue as well as a slate including your name, city of residence, height, age (if under 18) or age range (if over 18), and favorite christmas movie! New faces to Troupe and familiar ones, we can't wait to work with you!
